Hey! I’m Brittany - I am so, so glad you’re here, and I want to help you create the wedding invitations of your DREAMS.

Brittany Russell_Headshot.jpg

I can't remember a time when I wasn't in love with design, whether it be color, letters, layout, anything! I was doodling on things constantly as a child, and I always had to hand-make greeting cards for family and friends. That love for colors, typography and design has stuck with me, all the way from childhood through college and into adulthood, and now I own my dream business where I get to create beautiful wedding invitations for amazing couples..

After designing my own wedding invitations in 2015, I fell in love with wedding stationery.

I absolutely LOVE incorporating the special things in a couple’s life and history into their wedding stationery, whether it be an illustration of the location they met, where they got engaged, or their sweet pet, or even just including their style as a couple, whether that is their chosen colors or the overall aesthetic and theme of their stationery. I’m obsessed with bringing a unique vision to life, and creating paper goods that they will cherish forever.

I can’t wait to work with you and create your dream wedding invitations.

The woman behind the biz

I spend my evenings and weekends with my sweet husband, Matt, and our four pets: an River, our Australian Shepherd; Finley, our German Shepherd; and our two tuxedo kitties, Sebastian and Bella. When I'm not working on my business, I enjoy getting lost in an amazing book, watching movies or finding the next great Netflix show to binge, traveling and spending time outside with my husband and pups.

The goal of Letter Lane

Letter Lane Design Studio was built as a result of my passion for weddings and with the idea of working with couples who want to add a unique and beautiful touch to their special day through custom stationery and calligraphy. My ultimate goal is to create something beautiful that brings pure joy to your wedding or event. I can’t wait to hear from you and find out how I can create something amazing for your big day.

A LITTLE PRAISE FROM PAST CLIENTS

From the beginning Brittany was easy to work with and so very patient. During our first chat Brittany made me feel comfortable and really understood where I was going with my vision for stationery. She nailed the design on her first proof to me— all I had to do was provide her with my wedding color palette and explain that I wanted a French elegant/ pastel Art Deco theme. Because of her, we stayed on track with the timeline, and whenever I had meltdowns, she was supportive and assured me that my wedding day would make up for all of my troubles. She is a vendor committed to the satisfaction of her clients. I would recommend her to any bride looking for unique and personalized stationery.

Brittany was timely, professional, sweet, and accommodating which is a huge breath of fresh air for a bride :) Her final work on our big day ended up being more amazing than I could have imagined. We were very happy with how everything turned out and would highly recommend her! I wish I had discovered her sooner to do more for us earlier on in the process!
— KATEY STORK
Brittany helped make the wedding of my dreams come true! She created my save the dates, invitation suites, ceremony programs, custom menus, seating charts, bar menus, and even a snap chat filter. Throughout the year I worked with Brittany she demonstrates compassion for her work and professionalism. Do not hesitate to book Brittany for your wedding calligraphy or stationery needs!
— BRYANNA SHAFFER
Brittany is a true professional, very attentive to detail, and has this process down to a science. She knows how to make your vision a stunning reality. Brittany is also constantly challenging herself to learn more and, as a result, is a master at all of the latest trends. I’m so glad to have her beautiful work be a big part of our special day!
— SHAYNA ROYAL
I don’t even know where to begin with Brittany — she is absolutely amazing! She addressed all our wedding invites and was such a joy to work with. She responded in a quick manner, made sure to reach out to clarify any questions about names/addresses/ and was so excited to share the finished product. I think our invites were one of the most complimented parts of our wedding. Looking forward to working with her in the future and will definitely recommend to all friends and family!
— ERIN DUBOIS
Brittany is so creative and talented! Our invites and ceremony programs were absolutely perfect! She also used her calligraphy skills to create some beautiful signage for the bar! I cannot recommend her enough!
— CAPRI JUILFS
Communication skills (not even speaking yet of her talent) are so key to making a bride feel special, and when her vendors are really listening and even suggesting ideas, that’s what makes it work. I never felt like I was ‘just a customer.’ Brittany went out of her to make sure I had exactly what I needed. Even though we are on different sides of the country, I have no hesitation in referring her to friends. And I can’t wait to use her again for place cards for holidays and parties. Such a sweetheart!
— LORA WARNICK
Brittany’s willingness to work through every little detail with me was awesome, regardless of the number of changes I requested and how picky I was about small things. Brittany was also always pleasant and super responsive! I would absolutely recommend her - she’s amazing!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I'm so ready to work with you! What's the next step?

Send me a note from my Contact Page, via the project inquiry form below or email me at hello@letterlanedesignstudio.com and say hi! I will then set up a complimentary consultation via phone/Skype or email so that I can hear all about your ideas and vision for your project. Once we've gone over all the details, I will put together a proposal that will outline all of your initial concepts/inspiration, pricing and timelines. If you like what you see, a 50% non-refundable retainer will be due to book your project in my calendar.

I'm definitely interested, but I'd like to see samples first - is that possible?

Absolutely! I know how difficult it can be to make a decision about paper goods without being able to hold it in your hands first. Once we've chatted and I know what you're looking for, I'd be happy to drop some samples in the mail to you. My sample packets cost $15, and that will go toward your total should you decide to move forward with me for your invitation suite :)

What printing methods do you use?

Digital printing is most common, but I also offer gold foil and letterpress.

How much should I budget for my wedding stationery?

It will obviously be different for every couple, but the suggested wedding stationery budget is about 6-9% of your total wedding budget.

How much will it cost to have you design my wedding invitations?

A Letter Lane bride can typically expect to spend around $3,000-$4,000 on her wedding stationery, which includes the main invitation, reply card, printed reply card envelope, details card and outer envelope with calligraphy. Pricing does vary depending on quantity, paper type, additional cards, or any other fun extras like wax seals or ribbon. Once you reach out to me, I'll have you fill out a questionnaire to gather all the fun details from you, and then I'll be able to provide you with a custom quote! If you have any questions, I would be happy to hear them and suggest options to best fit your budget.

How long will it take?

All projects are different, but when you book with me, I will provide you with a detailed timeline for each stage of your project. When you first contact me, I'll need to know your wedding/event date, and from there I will be able to decipher when I will start on your project, as I will need to take several things into account: our initial consultation, your mood board and inspiration, sketches, full design and painting process, proofing, printing and assembly. If envelope calligraphy addressing will also be needed, an additional 3-5 weeks will be needed. For any other projects, I'll need specifics from you about what you're looking for, as well as when you need it by. Shoot me a note here and let me know what you have in mind!

How should I fit my stationery into my wedding planning calendar?

I would prefer to get started on your Save the Dates 10-11 months in advance of your wedding date, and about 5-6 months in advance for your wedding invitation suite. If you're a bit behind, no worries! Just let me know and we can adjust :)

When should I send out my wedding stationery?

It is customary to send out your Save the Dates about 6-8 months before your wedding, and 6-8 weeks in advance for your wedding invitations. If you will be having a destination wedding, it would be best add another 4 weeks or so onto those timelines to give your guests enough time to book travel and hotel arrangements.

How will you ship my invitations to me?

Your invitation suites will be lovingly and carefully boxed up and shipped to you via FedEx Ground (4-5 days, estimated at $15-$30).

Can you assemble and/or mail my invitations for me?

All clients who book fully custom wedding stationery with get their invitation suite assembly included :) Assembly for non-custom clients will be extra, but just let me know if that’s something you’d like a quote for on your inquiry form and I will provide an estimate for you!

I'm interested in something else other that wedding stationery. Do you take custom project requests?

All the time! Custom projects are my favorite :) Just shoot me a note via my contact page, via the project inquiry form below or email me at hello@letterlanedesignstudio.com and let me know what you have in mind!
