FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I'm so ready to work with you! What's the next step?

You have several options: (1) send me a note from my Contact Page (2) fill out the project inquiry form below or (3) email me at hello@letterlanedesignstudio.com and say hi! I will then set up a complimentary consultation via phone/Skype or email so that I can hear all about your ideas and vision for your project. Once we've gone over all the details, I will put together a proposal that will outline all of your initial concepts/inspiration, pricing and timelines. If you like what you see, a 50% non-refundable retainer will be due to book your project in my calendar.

I'm definitely interested, but I'd like to see samples first - is that possible?

Absolutely! I know how difficult it can be to make a decision about paper goods without being able to hold it in your hands first. Once we've chatted and I know what you're looking for, I'd be happy to drop some samples in the mail to you. My sample packets cost $15, and that will go toward your total should you decide to move forward with me for your invitation suite :)

What printing methods do you use?

Digital printing is most common, but I also offer gold foil and letterpress.

How much should I budget for my wedding stationery?

It will obviously be different for every couple, but the suggested wedding stationery budget is about 6-9% of your total wedding budget.

How much will it cost to have you design my wedding invitations?

A Letter Lane bride can typically expect to spend around $2,500-$4,500 on her wedding stationery. The lower end includes custom design and digital printing of the main invitation, reply card, details card, + the printed reply card envelope, and outer envelope with calligraphy. The higher end includes custom watercolor illustrations, embellishments to the suite (EX: ribbon, wax seals, etc.). For letterpress or gold foil printing, pricing will be higher.

Pricing does vary depending on quantity, paper type, additional cards, or any other fun extras like wax seals or ribbon. Once you reach out to me, I'll have you fill out a questionnaire to gather all the fun details from you, and then I'll be able to provide you with a custom quote! If you have any questions, I would be happy to hear them and suggest options to best fit your budget.

How long will it take?

All projects are different, but when you book with me, I will provide you with a detailed timeline for each stage of your project. When you first contact me, I'll need to know your wedding/event date, and from there I will be able to decipher when I will start on your project, as I will need to take several things into account: our initial consultation, your mood board and inspiration, sketches, full design and painting process, proofing, printing and assembly. If envelope calligraphy addressing will also be needed, an additional 3-5 weeks will be needed. For any other projects, I'll need specifics from you about what you're looking for, as well as when you need it by. Shoot me a note here and let me know what you have in mind!

How should I fit my stationery into my wedding planning calendar?

I would prefer to get started on your Save the Dates 10-11 months in advance of your wedding date, and about 5-6 months in advance for your wedding invitation suite. If you're a bit behind, no worries! Just let me know and we can adjust :)

When should I send out my wedding stationery?

It is customary to send out your Save the Dates about 6-8 months before your wedding, and 6-8 weeks in advance for your wedding invitations. If you will be having a destination wedding, it would be best add another 4 weeks or so onto those timelines to give your guests enough time to book travel and hotel arrangements.

How will you ship my invitations to me?

Your invitation suites will be lovingly and carefully boxed up and shipped to you via FedEx Ground (4-5 days, estimated at $15-$30).

Can you assemble and/or mail my invitations for me?

All clients who book fully custom wedding stationery with get their invitation suite assembly included :) Assembly for non-custom clients will be extra, but just let me know if that’s something you’d like a quote for on your inquiry form and I will provide an estimate for you!
